A look at Kfar Maccabiah from the air. You can see the fields, courts, pools, hotel and other buildings on this impressive campus.

Lunch at Kfar Maccabiah in Ramat Gan. The boys sitting around the table enjoying some delicious Israeli salads. That's J-man with eyes in the back of his head. We still don't have the whole team together yet as guys are still arriving and some are already in Haifa. Tomorrow morning at 10 am is the first, full team practice.

We arrived at Kfar Maccabiah just outside Tel Aviv to spend the first day and night. Our rooms in the Haifa hotel were not ready yet. Kfar Maccabiah is a sports club complex and is the nerve center of the Maccabiah games. The hotel is quite new and modern and the grounds are expansive. Bumped into a few people that I previously met in Argentina. It's getting exciting!!

The boys gathering their bags at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv after a sleepless 10 hour flight.

A welcome sign in the airport greeting athletes, coaches, delegates and families from all over the world. The airport is very modern and not what I remember 20 years ago.

Brian K passed out in the seat beside me. Notice the gentleman in the adjacent seat saying his morning prayers. There were many me on the flight praying as daylight arrived. Something you only/always see on a flight to Israel.
