Day 6 - USA vs. Argentina

This game was very intense. The Argentine side was extremely skiiled and played superior positional soccer. We held them scoreless until they got a goal in the last few minutes of the half. This sent us to the half-time break somewhat dejected as we had done so well until the last few minutes. The second half was pretty much the same. They brought the play to us and were dominant between the 18's. Their defense was tough and made no mistakes. With 5 minutes left in the game, they scored their second goal and then got their third on a PK with 1 minute left. We played our hearts out against the team that will likely take the gold medal. The final score was 3-0. Our next game is against Brazil on Sunday morning.

We wore our Diadora uniforms today. The guys were raving about numbers on the shorts (but no names on the back).

By game time it has stopped raining and was starting to dry up.
Pregame stretching and preparation near the bleachers under the tree.

When we arrived to the locker rooms, it was still raining. It had poured earlier and the field was quite muddy and soft. We were ready to take on our toughest opponent.
