Day 10 - USA vs. COLOMBIA

Today was our final game of the competition. We were playing for pride and for our first victory. We looked great wearing our national team uniforms with names on the back. Our opponents, Colombia, didn't arrive on time as they went to the wrong field. We thought we may not even play and that they had defaulted. From the start, we took the play to them and it was this way for most of the game. In the 30th minute, Tico delivered a cross from the right side and David Parks played a beautiful header which unfortunately for him, struck the far goal post and came out. Fortunately for me, I was in the right place at the right time and cleaned up getting my first goal. In the second half, Brian Greene made a hard run down the right wing and beat the defender. He sent a tremendous cross towards the goal that Simon buried with his head. The second goal from a header for Simon, our leading goal scorer in Argentina. The game ended 2-0.

It has become a tradition for us to take a team picture before each game. We have one in each of our three uniforms.
